Members volunteer their time several hours a week to share their skills and life experiences with the students and teachers. Some AAUW members work at the Child Development Center or help in other areas..

Branch Projects

On Monday, January 25, 2010, we will have a new fundraiser at Anacapa, the Corte Belle restaurant, to benefit the Northwest Valley Branch projects. Members and guests will enjoy playing games of their choice after lunch.

Recognizing a void in cookbooks addressing citrus, the Branch decided on the Citrus Cookbook as a fundraising effort to help fund Branch projects to promote, support and mentor girls and women in educational pursuits.

Book Grants Project

This past year we gave four $1,000 book grants. The money was sent directly to each specific college for the student’s use. This year we are adding another grant ,making a total of five.
