Members volunteer their time several hours a week to share their skills and life experiences with the students and teachers. Some AAUW members work at the Child Development Center or help in other areas.. |

On Monday, January 25, 2010, we will have a new fundraiser at Anacapa, the Corte Belle restaurant, to benefit the Northwest Valley Branch projects. Members and guests will enjoy playing games of their choice after lunch. |
|
Recognizing a void in cookbooks addressing citrus, the Branch decided on the Citrus Cookbook as a fundraising effort to help fund Branch projects to promote, support and mentor girls and women in educational pursuits. |

This past year we gave four $1,000 book grants. The money was sent directly to each specific college for the student’s use. This year we are adding another grant ,making a total of five. |
